VIP Upgrades: Creating a Premium Spectator Experience

If you’ve got special guests coming to your event, you’ll want to give them the best experience possible. While there are plenty of ways to elevate a VIP’s time at your facility, seating can be one of the most crucial.

They’re sure to remember their visit if they’re given the best seats in the house. How can you do that, though? How can you make sure you’re giving your premium spectators the kind of experience that they’re expecting?

How to Create a VIP Experience

The best way to create a VIP experience is to upgrade and install multiple types of seats in one venue. Instead of choosing one type of chair for the whole facility, you can blend two or more different types together to create a premium section of the facility.

Say that you’re installing the Excel Seat Module (ESM) in a school gymnasium. Pretty standard installation, right? But you also want a premium area for alumni to be seated comfortably for the events. You can choose to install a POLARIS Multi-Purpose Seat section, complete with backrest and armrests. Now you have a completely upgraded section for your important guests, while keeping the design of the seating coherent and aesthetically pleasing.

You can even choose to simply add the ComfoBack Automatic Backrest System to a section of your ESM or Contour Seat Module (CSM) seating. This is an easy upgrade that fits your budget while still creating an elevated space for guests. The backrest will give them better comfort while still being as easy to use as the ESM or CSM. The best part? The ComfoBack is fully automatic, saving your staff time and labor.

Both VISION Platform Chair and AURA Stadium Chair can also be upgraded by adding upholstered back and seat pan onserts. These onserts are stylish and comfortable, making them perfect for any setting. Like adding the ComfoBack, this is an easy - and visible! - way to create an elevated section for VIP visitors to your facility.

There are Endless Premium Possibilities

There are plenty of ways to get creative with your spectator seating to give your important guests an experience to remember. Mix AURA and VISION chairs for your stadium, or the POLARIS with bench seating modules. These examples create an elevated area that special guests can enjoy comfortably.

Creating a VIP section will bring your venue up to a new level and allow your elevated guests to have a premium experience. Whatever special guests you have coming to your facility, they’ll be able to relax and enjoy the event with a premium upgraded section. You may even feel more comfortable charging an additional fee for these seats, so you can put the funds towards more uses for your facility.

At Interkal, we’re here to help you create the best seating experience possible for all spectators, whether they’re VIP or standard. There are tons of opportunities to bring a premium experience to your seating, and we’re ready to help you do it.

Interkal and KSI recently came together for a massive celebration to congratulate one of our very own. Dan Victor, who has been integral to the company for nearly four decades, was the center of attention as we celebrated both him and the Victory Series rollout. Our Chief Structural Engineer, Dan Victor, has been an invaluable asset to Interkal for over 37 years now, being the go-to person to solve any problem, and putting a hundred percent into everything he does. He’s been integral not only to Interkal, but also the community. Dan has served on the NFPA Technical Committee on Assembly Occupancies from 1990-1998 and has participated significantly in the development of ICC 300 since its beginnings in 2000, also serving on the Committee on Bleacher Safety since 2023. Dan’s passion for this industry is apparent in his continuing dedication to the safety of our products and the communities that enjoy them. So, when it came time to rebrand the classic Interkal bleachers, it was a no-brainer to recognize one of our best and brightest. We’re proud to have the Victory Series named in Dan’s honor, to recognize all his achievements, both past and future. Dan has prioritized safety and quality for all his years at Interkal, ensuring that everything put out meets the highest standards. Not only has he spent decades making sure that Interkal meets the high quality they are known for, but he’s also passed on this knowledge to everyone he’s worked with. The big celebration featured all the goodies, including a massive cake, snacks and beverages, music, and fun for all. No celebration is complete without speeches as well, and not only did we get one from Dan himself, but also Interkal CEO Hal Thomas and Kotobuki CEO Keiko Sutton. We’re so glad we got to celebrate one of our greatest assets and give Dan the thanks and recognition he deserves. Luckily, Dan isn’t going anywhere! We’re looking forward to what the future holds as Dan continues to make Interkal better every day.

There’s nothing quite like a well-designed space for your spectators to enjoy when they attend your event. With the right look, your spectators will be treated to a memorable venue and be excited to come back to your facility. Color is one way to customize your telescopic bleachers and spectator seating for your venue. Using either a single color or multiple, there are plenty of ways to get creative with your space and create something truly special for your spectators.

You’re probably not thinking about benches when thinking about the most comfortable seat you’ve ever sat on. And it’s true! Bench seating is not likely to feel as though you’re sitting on a fluffy cloud. However, that doesn’t mean you have to accept discomfort. With Interkal’s options for benches, comfort is already built in. Using intuitive engineering and design, benches don’t have to be a downside when guests come to your venue. They can keep your spectators just as comfortable when they take a seat at your event.

The first - and arguably, most important - aspect of any seating is comfort. If the chairs are more uncomfortable than just standing would be, then there’s no point in them being there. Spectator seating design focuses on all kinds of aspects, from durability to longevity. But even with all these considerations, comfort remains a top priority. Interkal is proud to be at the forefront of the latest technology to make spectator seating as great as it can be.

What do you want your guests to experience when they visit your facility? Excitement, joy, awe? There are plenty of factors that contribute to the overall experience that your visitors will have when they take their seats. From the design of the space to the event they’ll watch, there are tons of ways to cater to your audience to make them come back. But to make an event truly memorable, everything needs to be just right. Even the smallest factors need to be taken into consideration to create something truly memorable for your spectators. And that includes the chair they’ll be seated on for their visit.
